It all started at around 6am on 06\18\2003. Becca woke up and had a cup of cereal. I got ready and left for work at around 7:45 am. Becca called me at work to tell me she wasn't feeling well today so I began to suspect that Hope would arrive today. When I came home for lunch around 1pm Becca told me that she was uncomfortable and that there was a "pressure" in her back. I told her that I thougth the baby would come that day.
At around 3:50 Pm my beeper went off. I called Becca and she told me that she had call Dr. Cooper's office and they said to go to the hospital. So I left work immediatly and when I got home Becca's dad was already there. I put her bags in the blazer and strapped in the car seat and off we went. We Arrived at the hospital at around 4:30 pm. After we arrived at the hospital Becca was put in a holding room and checked. Dr. Cooper decided that it was time for little Hope to be born so she had us moved to a birthing room. Soon things were really starting to roll.
The Epidural was given and Becca's water was broken. From that point it wasn't long at all before Hope was ready to go. Becca began pushing and it didn't take long for us to see that Hope had a head full of dark brown hair.
We all helped in our own way. Dr. Cooper and Becca made a great team. She talked to Becca the whole time and Becca pushed and pushed. After only twenty minutes or so of pushing we could see Hope's face. It only took about five more minutes to get the rest of her out. Dr. Cooper laid hope on Becca's stomach and that was it. At 9:21pm CST I knew that our lives would never be the same again.
